Free Love Science Class Coming to Eugene Oregon for One Day Only

Wise Readers,

Want to attend a free mini-class on love science? Come to the Eugene Public Library’s downtown branch on Saturday, November 19, at 3:00.

You’ll get to ask questions (anonymously if preferred), learn information about your relationships, and understand the place that science can have in creating better, happier, more loving relationships for everyone—taught by the person who literally wrote the book on it.

Here’s the description from the EPL website:

“This is a lively talk by author Dr. Duana Welch based on her book “Love Factually,” the first book that uses science rather than opinion to take men and women through every stage of dating, from before they meet until they decide to commit.

“Learn surprising ways that biology, chemistry, and cognition influence emotions and interpersonal relationships.

“When it comes to medicine, physics, and other important topics, people expect that science is the foundation of reliable information. But when it comes to love, most people accept fact-free advice as the only option. Discover the findings of more than 60 years of science on how people choose and maintain a healthy, happy, lifelong partnership.

“Dr. Duana Welch specializes in applying social science research to real-life relationship issues. She has been a professor at universities in Florida, California, and Texas, and writes and consults for Psychology Today, eHarmony, and Redbook.”
